Vulcan After Tunes

John and I had a romantic rendezvous at Vulcan Park on Sunday.  We attended the Vulcan After Tunes festival where there was a band, wine, and craft beer.  We were enthused to spend an afternoon doors enjoying some solid bluegrass music.

We went up to the top of Vulcan, the largest cast iron statute in the world, and took in a breathtaking view of Birmingham.  We toured the museum and absorbed all of the history revolving around Robinson Iron's renovations to Vulcan back in the early 2000s.  John's sister, Hadley, had done several of the drawings that were on display from her time at RI.  His father, Scotty, also had several quotes showcased on the walls of the museum.

Below are some pictures of the scene.  If you have to opportunity to attend this local event in the fall, please do so.
