Green Freshwater Pearls

In St. Louis last week, I stumbled upon a bead shop after work one night.  Inspired by my friend, Whitney Clanton, who is making jewelry these days (f.o.l.k.), I thought I'd give it a try.

I love pearls (black are my fav)...and the little store had freshwater pearls in fun and funky colors.

I chose two strands of pretty sea green (at only $8/strand!), and purchased wire, crimp beads, a clasp, and the crimp pliers.

They looked lovely laid in with the cuties and apples!  It's hard to photograph jewelry.

(In truth, I probably could have done the clasps tighter in to the pearls...but not bad for a first go)

I love them and still have enough pearls left over for a bracelet!
