Race day weather yesterday-PERFECT.
Overcast and in the 60s.
John and I walked up about 20 minutes before the race and as we were crossing the street we ran right into Ruben. He was already commenting on how big Mona was before it even registered with me that it was, in fact, Ruben Studdard.
205, baby!
This was the inaugural running of Ruben's Celebration weekend, and I hope that they are able to hold it again next year. There was a full marathon initially planned, but attendance was too low and they canceled it-so there was only the 1/2 and a 5k. It was a really flat run, and would be great for anyone's first time. The course covered all of downtown.
Always a good sign to see!
I placed 89th out of 330 women. My overall time was 2:08:25, with a 9:48 pace.
